Sundance Head Returns for Keller Williams Concert at Kings Harbor

American Idol finalist Sundance Head will return for a command performance at Kings Harbor on Thurs., Aug. 5 from 6-9 p.m. as part of the Keller Williams Realty Northeast and Kings Harbor free Summer Nights at the Harbor concert series.

A blues artist, Sundance released his first CD self titled “Sundance Head” in February and has performed locally at the House of Blues. A versatile musician, he plays a variety of instruments including the guitar, drums and harmonica. Sundance will be joined by Keith Rowe on vocals and guitar.


Kingwood Event to Benefit Girl Injured in Plane Crash

Members of the Kingwood Community are organizing a Big Top Fund Raiser & BBQ to benefit 16-year-old Rachel Zientek who was badly burned in a plane crash in Alaska earlier this summer. Rachel is the daughter of Mike Zientek, a City of Houston police officer who serves Kingwood.


These Guys Here Band Re-Scheduled for Summer Nights at Harbor Concert

They say the “third time is a charm.” After being rained out twice, the These Guys Here Band has been re-scheduled to perform at the Keller Williams Realty Northeast and Kings Harbor free Summer Nights at the Harbor concert this Thursday, July 29th from 6-9 p.m.


Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Releases June Market Update

During the month of June, sales of single family homes in northeast Houston varied widely versus the Houston market overall, according to the Multiple Listing Service Market Update released by the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR). While the Houston market had a three percent gain in single family homes sold over last year, HAR Area #1 (Atascocita/Humble) declined 11 percent, HAR Area #40 (Montgomery County Southwest) increased by 18 percent and Area #32 (Kingwood) was flat with exactly the same number of homes sold in June 2010 as in June 2009.


Keller Williams Gives Concert for USO

The only southern breeze at the Keller Williams Concert at Kings Harbor last Friday night was the band. The hot summer evening did not deter hundreds of people from attending the free concert by The Southern Breeze Band in honor of the USO Operation Enduring Care, a program for veterans of the U.S. armed forces wounded in the War on Terror.

Keller Williams Realty Northeast has embraced Social Networking. Since the first of this year, KWNE has made their presence known on more than 30 social networking sites.

KWNE also publishes this bi-weekly blog on top blogging sites including: Active Rain and Word Press and has established a Fan Page on FaceBook www.facebook.com/kwnortheast The page promotes Keller Williams’ events and other local activities of interest to the community. In addition, Keller Williams Northeast agents recently attended the Swanepoel Social Media Report 2010 Seminar to stay on top of the Social Networking trends in the real estate business.


Government Program Provides Alternatives to Foreclosure

The U.S. Treasury Department is now offering help for America’s homeowners who are on the brink of foreclosure on their home. Effective April 5, 2010, the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program (HAFA) provides financial incentives to homeowners and lenders who utilize a short sale or a deed-in-lieu to avoid a foreclosure.


Keller Williams Realty Ranks Second in HBJ Report

The Houston Business Journal reported in its June 25 issue that Keller Williams Realty is the second largest Houston-area residential real estate brokerage firm for 2009 based on both closed transactions and volume of closed sales. The results take into account the combined figures for six Keller Williams offices: Northeast, The Woodlands, Professionals, Magnolia, Sterling Ridge and Livingston.


Fed Expected to Stop Mortgage Subsidy: Real Estate Experts Urge Consumers to Buy Now

Next Wednesday (3/31) is a monumental day for the mortgage industry. It is the day that the Federal Reserve has said it will stop buying mortgage-backed securities in an effort to keep mortgage rates low and bolster the housing market. The expected outcome of this move is an increase in interest rates which have been hovering around 5 percent this week for a 30 year fixed rate loan.
