“These Guys Here” will perform at the Summer Nights at the Harbor

The band “These Guys Here” will perform at the Summer Nights at the Harbor concert sponsored by Keller Williams Realty Northeast and the Kings Harbor restaurants on Thurs., July 1 from 6-9 p.m. at Kings Harbor. “These Guys Here” band plays a combination of classic rock and country songs with folk-inspired vocal harmonies.

Members of the band are Rick Lindholtz, keyboard, acoustic guitar and vocals; Dick Chapman, bass guitar and vocals; Raymond Foster, lead guitar and vocals; and Joe Condoleo, drums. They are all residents of the Kingwood/Atascocita area.


First Summer Nights at the Harbor Concert Features ‘50s Music

The music at the first of four Keller Williams Summer Nights at the Harbor concerts was a flashback to the ‘50s. Wayne King entertained the crowd last Thursday at Kings Harbor with songs by Roy Orbison, Frank Sinatra and assorted ’50s “Doo-Wop” artists.


Family Promise of Lake Houston to Hold Chicks & Hogs Cook-Off

One of the newest charities in town is beginning to impact the community in a big way. Family Promise of Lake Houston, which will celebrate its first anniversary in August, utilizes thirteen local churches to assist homeless families in moving towards independent living. The non-profit organization provides shelter, food and counseling for homeless families with children.

“On average, more than 80 percent of our participating families find permanent housing,” says Family Promise Executive Director Carole Marchand. “We have over 2,500 volunteers who work with our families through our local host congregations.”


Keller Williams and Kings Harbor Introduce Summer Nights Concerts

This summer Keller Williams Realty Northeast and Kings Harbor Waterfront Village will extend their successful concert series by adding four additional Thursday night events to the schedule. The Summer Nights at the Harbor will be held June 10, July 1, Aug. 5 and Sept. 2 from 6-9 p.m.

Designed to provide entertainment the whole family can enjoy, the free Summer Nights concerts will include music, the plaza fountain and a clown providing balloon animals and face painting.

“The community has been so supportive of the Friday night concerts that we have been putting on since October 2008,” says Lisa Dempsey, Keller Williams Northeast senior team leader. “We’ve decided to expand on the fun this summer with an event geared toward families with younger children. We hope this will get more people out to the Harbor to enjoy the restaurants and the beautiful waterside location.”


Keller Williams Gives Back at RED Day Event

Last Thursday, May 13 was a designated RED (renew, energize and donate) Day by Keller Williams Reatly International. RED Day was an opportunity for Keller Williams associates to improve their local communities through participating in service projects.

More than 70 Keller Williams associates from three Houston area offices spent RED Day volunteering at The Arrow Retreat Center in Porter, TX. The group from Keller Williams Northeast, The Woodlands and Professionals power washed cabins, painted buildings and prayer benches, and sealed the wooden pier over a fish pond – all to get the retreat ready for the summer.

The retreat is operated by Arrow Child & Family Ministries. The Christian organization helps place children in foster care and strengthen their bonds with their foster families. Arrow was founded in 1992 in Austin, TX, by a former foster child Mark Tennant.


Sundance Head To Perform at Keller Williams Concert on May 21

The free Keller Williams Concert Series at Kings Harbor will welcome a local favorite in May. Sundance Head, a 2007 “American Idol” finalist who hails from Porter, TX, will perform on Friday, May 21 from 7-10 p.m at the waterfront venue on Lake Houston.

A blues artist, Sundance released his first CD self titled “Sundance Head” in February and has performed at the House of Blues in Houston. A versatile musician, he plays a variety of instruments including the guitar, drums and harmonica. Sundance will be accompanied at the concert by Keith Rowe on vocals and guitar.


Charity Holds Golf Ball Drop

The Village Learning & Achievement Center will mark its tenth anniversary serving people with disabilities in a big way. The non-profit organization based in Kingwood will drop hundreds of golf balls from the air onto a hole at Tour 18 golf course during the its 10th Annual Golf Tournament on May 10.


KW Thriller Dancers Appear on YouTube

Just when they thought it was safe to go back to their real estate jobs, the KW Thriller Dancers are now on YouTube. Someone secretly recorded the daylight performance of the KW Thriller Dancers at the Keller Williams Concert at Kings Harbor on April 16.

A group of nine Keller Williams Realty Northeast associates under the direction of Fred Astaire Dance Studio transformed into zombies to dance a tribute to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. They performed twice, once before the sun went down, and a second time under the light of the moon which really brought the zombies to life. The performers were: Michael Clapp, Bob and Terri Blewett, Sandy Beatte, Sandy Swensen, Denise Hernandez; Carol Alford, Suzanna Cheek, and Tina Leigh.


Elvis Shakes the Lake at Keller Williams Concert

When Elvis tribute artist Vince King visited Kings Harbor on Friday night, he wasted no time getting the place shaking “like a leaf on a tree.” The “King” was the feature performer at the free concert hosted by Keller Williams which drew a record crowd to the waterfront venue on Lake Houston in Kingwood.


Keller Williams Announces Spring Concert Line Up

Keller Williams Realty Northeast has announced the spring entertainment line up for its free monthly concert series at Kings Harbor in Kingwood. The concerts are held the third Friday of each month from 7-10 p.m.

Elvis Tribute Artist Vince King will bring his act to the Viva Las Vegas Concert on April 16 (Rain date April 23). He will be joined by special guest performers, the Keller Williams Thriller Dancers, who will be doing a tribute to the late Michael Jackson starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert’s charity guest will be Humble-based FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center.
