Sundance Head To Perform at Keller Williams Concert on May 21

The free Keller Williams Concert Series at Kings Harbor will welcome a local favorite in May. Sundance Head, a 2007 “American Idol” finalist who hails from Porter, TX, will perform on Friday, May 21 from 7-10 p.m at the waterfront venue on Lake Houston.

A blues artist, Sundance released his first CD self titled “Sundance Head” in February and has performed at the House of Blues in Houston. A versatile musician, he plays a variety of instruments including the guitar, drums and harmonica. Sundance will be accompanied at the concert by Keith Rowe on vocals and guitar.

Sundance advanced to the top 13 on “American Idol” season number six before being voted off.  He was the first contestant in the history of the show to score a record deal without reaching one of the top twelve finalists spots.

Music is a family tradition. His father Roy Head earned a Gold Record in 1965 for his song “Treat Her Right,” which was knocked off the number one position by the Beatle’s song “Yesterday.”

The featured charity at the concert will be the Zach Jones Memorial Fund based in Humble, which promotes educational awareness, early detection and ultimately a cure for rabies.

Kings Harbor is located at 1660 W. Lake Houston Pkwy. in Kingwood between Kingwood Dr. and FM 1960. Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome, but no glass containers are allowed. For more information, visit www.clickKWne.com or www.kings-harbor.com.
