Keller Williams Summer Nights Concert Re-Scheduled for July 8

The upgrading of Tropical Storm Alex to Category 2 Hurricane Alex put a damper on tonight’s Keller Williams concert at Kings Harbor. The concert sponsored by Keller Williams and Kings Harbor has been cancelled due to the weather and re-scheduled for Thurs., July 8 from 6-9 p.m.

The Summer Nights at the Harbor series at Kings Harbor in Kingwood will resume next week with the band “These Guys Here.” The Kingwood-based group plays a combination of classic rock and country songs with folk-inspired vocal harmonies.

The band “These Guys Here” will perform at the Summer Nights at the Harbor concert sponsored by Keller Williams Realty Northeast and the Kings Harbor restaurants on Thurs., July 1 from 6-9 p.m. at Kings Harbor. “These Guys Here” band plays a combination of classic rock and country songs with folk-inspired vocal harmonies.

Members of the band are Rick Lindholtz, keyboard, acoustic guitar and vocals; Dick Chapman, bass guitar and vocals; Raymond Foster, lead guitar and vocals; and Joe Condoleo, drums. They are all residents of the Kingwood/Atascocita area.


Harper Takes the Stage at the Harbor

Kingwood welcomed home Nashville-based, Christian recording artist Christi Harper in grand style as hundreds of local residents turned out for last Friday night’s Keller Williams concert. It was without a doubt the most elaborate production ever put on at Kings Harbor. Harper and her entire six-piece band Pierced Grip performed on a huge stage erected on the Harbor Plaza. A jumbo video screen projected the entire concert which was being taped live for a promotional video.


Christi Harper to Perform at Keller Williams Concert at Kings Harbor in June

Nashville-based Christian recording artist Christi Harper will perform at the free Keller Williams concert series at Kings Harbor on Fri., June 18 from 7-10 p.m. She will be accompanied by the Houston area Christian band Pierced Grip.

“It will be a fantastic, family-friendly night of popular favorites, original songs and some fun cover tunes,” says Harper, who grew up in Kingwood and is looking forward to singing for her hometown crowd.


Mortgage Rates See Record Lows

The Mortgage Bankers Association reports that most customers are taking advantage of the low rates to refinance their current loans.

There are two primary reasons to refinance a mortgage: to get a better interest rate or to secure cash from a home’s equity. Correspondingly, the demand for loans to purchase a home is down after a busy spring due in part to the expiration of the federal home buyers tax credit on April 30.


Keller Williams and Kings Harbor Introduce Summer Nights Concerts

This summer Keller Williams Realty Northeast and Kings Harbor Waterfront Village will extend their successful concert series by adding four additional Thursday night events to the schedule. The Summer Nights at the Harbor will be held June 10, July 1, Aug. 5 and Sept. 2 from 6-9 p.m.

Designed to provide entertainment the whole family can enjoy, the free Summer Nights concerts will include music, the plaza fountain and a clown providing balloon animals and face painting.

“The community has been so supportive of the Friday night concerts that we have been putting on since October 2008,” says Lisa Dempsey, Keller Williams Northeast senior team leader. “We’ve decided to expand on the fun this summer with an event geared toward families with younger children. We hope this will get more people out to the Harbor to enjoy the restaurants and the beautiful waterside location.”


Elvis Shakes the Lake at Keller Williams Concert

When Elvis tribute artist Vince King visited Kings Harbor on Friday night, he wasted no time getting the place shaking “like a leaf on a tree.” The “King” was the feature performer at the free concert hosted by Keller Williams which drew a record crowd to the waterfront venue on Lake Houston in Kingwood.


HAR Releases March Housing Statistics

As predicted by a surge of mortgage applications nationwide last month, closed sales of single family homes in the Houston market climbed 11 percent in March versus a year ago.

The three HAR areas served by Keller Williams Realty Northeast saw sales gains as well. Nine percent more homes were sold in both Area 1 (Atascocita/Humble) and Area 32 (Kingwood) compared to last year. Area 40 (southeast Montgomery County) exceeded the market’s results with a hefty gain of 17.4 percent more homes sold this March.


Young Life Holds Family Bar-B-Que

The Northeast Chapter of Young Life will hold a Family Bar-B-Que on Sun., May 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Deerwood Elementary at 2920 Forest Garden Dr. in Kingwood. Tickets available at the event are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Kids under five years old are free. Admission includes live musical entertainment, games and an inflatable for the under five crowd.

Young Life is a national non-profit organization for high school aged teens to help them build lasting friendships and to consider the direction of their lives. The Kingwood and Kingwood Park high school groups meet on Mondays during the school year at the YL Clubhouse inside the Vinyard Church at 807 Russell Palmer Rd. in Kingwood.


Keller Williams Announces Spring Concert Line Up

Keller Williams Realty Northeast has announced the spring entertainment line up for its free monthly concert series at Kings Harbor in Kingwood. The concerts are held the third Friday of each month from 7-10 p.m.

Elvis Tribute Artist Vince King will bring his act to the Viva Las Vegas Concert on April 16 (Rain date April 23). He will be joined by special guest performers, the Keller Williams Thriller Dancers, who will be doing a tribute to the late Michael Jackson starting at 7:30 p.m. The concert’s charity guest will be Humble-based FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center.
