Keller Williams Realty Northeast Presents USO Concert
Keller Williams Realty Northeast will salute the troops with a free concert by The Southern Breeze Band on Fri., July 16 from 7-10 p.m. at Kings Harbor in Kingwood. The Keller Williams concert is being held in support of USO Operation Enduring Care, a non-profit program for members of the U.S. armed forces wounded in the War on Terror.
“This USO program supplies clothing and toiletries to the newly wounded, establishes USO day rooms in the hospitals where troops can relax and visit with their loved ones and can be entertained,” explains USO Houston Director Susan Barlow. “The Wounded Warrior program also extends into our local communities that host special events to encourage our nation’s heroes, wounded in battle, to reconnect with local citizens.”
“We are excited to have the opportunity to put on this concert for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Keller Williams Senior Team Leader Lisa Dempsey. “We hope that a big crowd will turn out to show their support.”
The community can also help the USO Operation Enduring Program by bringing to the concert a cash donation or toiletries for care packages.
The Southern Breeze Band will entertain the Wounded Warriors and the community with their unique mix of Southern rock and Texas country music. Performing since 1983, the band is one of the oldest and most well-known dance bands from Liberty County, TX. The group is made up of musicians: Jay Knight, fiddle; Carl Landrum, lead guitar; Mike Foxworth, drums; Rob Austin, bass guitar; and Luke Landrum, rhythm guitar.
Kings Harbor is located at 1660 West Lake Houston Pkwy., Kingwood.
Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. The concert rain date is July 23. For more information about the Keller Williams Concert Series, visit www.clickKWne.com.
