Keller Williams Realty Northeast Announces New Ownership
KINGWOOD,TX (January 28, 2013) – Keller Williams Realty Northeast founders Judy Hopkins and Mark Heinrich have announced that they have sold the majority ownership for the real estate franchise to Kingwood residents: (from left) Michael Clapp, Donna and Roland Duhon, and Jason Medley.
Hopkins and Heinrich established the Northeast Market Center of Austin-based Keller Williams Realty in 1994. They moved the business into its current location at 20665 Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood in 1997.
“Transitioning from majority owners to investors has been our goal for the past couple of years,” stated Mark Heinrich. “Judy and I are so happy to have Michael, Jason, Donna and Roland step up and take the reins of the office that we have built and loved for the past 18 years.”
Clapp will continue in his role as General Manager/Team Leader of the Keller Williams Northeast office, adding Broker of Record to his title. He began his real estate career at Keller Williams Northeast where he was a Top Producer from 1998 to 2002. He then moved into management as Team Leader followed by General Manager, overseeing Keller Williams Northeast, Spring and The Woodlands market centers until August of 2012.
“This is a dream come true for me,” exclaimed Clapp. “My parents moved to Kingwood in 1971 when there was just a single stop sign on Kingwood Drive. The growth of our area over the past 40 years has been phenomenal and the future continues to look bright for Houston and our northeast communities.”
New owners Roland and Donna Duhon have a combined experience of 20 years in real estate. Donna became a Keller Williams Realtor in 2000, joined by Roland in 2004. She served as Team Leader of the Northeast office from 2005-2007. They both currently serve on the Agent Leadership Council and were recognized as one of the top performing groups at the recent annual production awards ceremony.
Medley is a native of Humble and a partner in the Houston-based law firm of O’Donnell, Ferebee, Medley & Keiser. He specializes in business organization, banking law, real estate, health law and estate planning. He is active in the northeast Houston business community, having served as the Chairman of the Board for the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce.
