The Barry Sea Paradox Band will perform at the free Keller Williams June Jazz Concert at Kings Harbor in Kingwood on Fri., June 17 from 7-10 p.m. The concert is presented by the agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast and the band is sponsored by Shank Wealth Management.
In addition to jazz, The Barry Sea Paradox Band plays classic soul, R & B, blues, swing, and old time rock and roll. The group features namesake Barry Sea on saxophone and his wife Bobbie on drums. The couple met as young musicians in New York City, but gave up their promising musical careers to raise their children in Houston. Yet, their love of music never died. After playing at their daughters’ weddings, they realized what they had been missing and formed The Barry Sea Paradox band. Their debut CD, “Lost Soul Found Smooth Jazz,” has been described as “an exciting, soulful romp through the halls of classic sax hits.”
The concert’s guest charity is The 100 Club, which supports dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. The non-profit organization will hold a fund-raising raffle with prizes from the Kings Harbor merchants, including: a hot stone massage and functional medicine consultation from Campbell Chiropractic, Sunday brunch for two at Raffa’s restaurant, a gift certificate to Sharky’s Grill and to Zammitti’s restaurant, a gift basket from Jennika’s and wine from Chimichurri’s South American Grill. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
Also on hand at the concert will be the concert’s band sponsor Shank Wealth Management to promote their free “Stump the Broker” luncheons and “Health and Wealth Seminars.”
