Keller Williams Announces Sponsors for Viva Las Vegas Gala

Keller Williams Realty Northeast has announced the sponsors for its Viva Las Vegas Gala benefitting FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center. The charity event will take place on Sat., Sept. 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Marriott Hotel at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Current sponsors include: Keller Williams Realty Northeast, Keller Williams High Rollers Club, Comfort Concepts, Farmers Insurance – Ken Pickett, First American Title, The Forest Image, Friendswood Development Company, FSR Services, Genesis Mortgage Company, The Observer Newspapers, Lone Star Home Maintenance, The Mint National Bank, Stewart Title, Summerwood and Eagle Springs by Newland Communities, The Tribune and the Zach Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The gala will repeat last year’s successful Viva Las Vegas theme. The event is open to the public and will include dinner, casino games, auctions and live entertainment by singer Tony Mac. Tickets are $100 a person.

For the third year in a row, Keller Williams Northeast agents Letitia Whipple and Diana Heffner are the co-chairs of the KW Shares gala. “We are excited to be working again with FamilyTime which was the recipient of our Denim & Diamonds Gala on New Year’s Eve 2008,” said Whipple. “They have been hard hit by the recession and are very deserving of our support.”

FamilyTime is a non-profit organization which provides free crisis intervention, counseling, support groups and legal advocacy to all victims of domestic abuse. The organization also runs The Door, the only domestic violence shelter in Northeast Harris County. FamilyTime Executive Director Judy Cox reports that while demand for their services is at an all time high – up 70 percent versus last year – donations are down 53 percent. She says that FamilyTime may have to cut much needed services without additional funding from sources such as Keller Williams’ Viva Las Vegas gala.

Making a difference in people’s lives is part of the Keller Williams culture to give back to the community in which their agents live and work. “Each year, we choose a local charity that is making a life-changing difference in our community for our KW Shares event,” said Keller Williams Northeast Senior Team Leader Lisa Dempsey. During the past five years, the market center located in Kingwood has raised more than $144,000 for local charities and non-profit organizations.
