Carpe Diem! Seize the day. That’s what the non-profit organization Will’s Kids is asking local youth ages 4 to 18 to do to earn scholarships.
Will’s Kids will hold its Carpe Diem Festival on Saturday, October 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Center Park in Kingwood. Will’s Kids is built on the premise that the inspiration and encouragement of even one child makes the world a better place.
Carpe Diem is an event of the kids, by the kids, and for the kids to seize the day and seize the dreams of their imaginations. Will’s Kids is sponsoring a series of kids competitions in art, photography, cooking, music and video. The entry deadline is Oct. 10. Winners will be announced at the Carpe Diem Festival.
The entertainment during the event includes: American Idol finalist Sundance Head, the Brendan Tanamachi Band and “Top Dog” Weiner Races.
