Kingwood is preparing for a British invasion when the Beatles tribute band The Fab 5 headline the activities at the Fall Festival at Kings Harbor on Sat., Oct. 1. The free event, presented by Campbell Chiropractic and the agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast, will run from 1-10 p.m., featuring vendor booths, charity fundraisers, onsite restaurants and live entertainment throughout the day.
The Fab 5 will perform at the Harbor Plaza from 7-10 p.m. The Houston-based band stays true to The Beatles legacy, except for the fact that they have one extra member than the original English rock group. They wear classic Carnaby Street fashions, play vintage musical instruments and sing The Beatles greatest hits, as well as other popular songs from the ‘60s era. The band has been together since 1990, sharing the stage with great acts such as The Beach Boys, America, The Temptations, Chubby Checker and Little Richard. Members of the band are: Joe Baiardi, bass guitar; Scott Bland, keyboards; Chuck Essick, rhythm guitar; John Lassen, lead guitar; and Rod Robert, drums.
The Fall Festival will benefit the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, which funds various outreach programs to guide young women and their families to become promoters of Christian values. The local chapter of the non-profit organization will hold a fund-raising raffle drawing and silent auction during the Fall Festival. Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5.
Vendor booths will be available for shopping from 1-7 p.m. Participating vendors include: D.J.
