Texas A &; M University quarterback Jerrod Johnson will be the featured speaker at the East Houston Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) annual banquet. The event will take place on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Humble Area First Baptist Church at FM 1960 and Townsen Blvd, Humble.
Johnson was a standout football player at Humble High School and the 2005 Houston Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Year. His father Larry Johnson, who died in 2007, was a coach and principal at HHS and also played football for Texas A &; M.
“It is going to be a great evening to honor local coaches and athletes,” said Keller Williams Realty Northeast Agent Jeremy Williams, who is aboard member of East Houston FCA. “The FCA mission is to present to athletes and coaches, and those they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. FCA accomplishes this mission through campuses, community, camps and coaches. The evening is sure to be a time of encouragement and hope.”
