The Beatles tribute band The Fab 5 will highlight the activities at the Spring Festival at Kings Harbor in Kingwood on Sat., April 28. The free event is being presented by the Agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast and sponsored by Campbell Chiropractic and Texan GMC. The Spring Festival will run from 3-10 p.m. featuring vendor booths, charity fundraisers, on-site restaurants, kids’ activities and live music.
The Fab 5 will perform from 7-10 p.m. The Houston-based band stays true to The Beatles legacy, except for the fact that they have one extra member than the original English rock group. They wear classic Carnaby Street fashions, play vintage musical instruments and sing The Beatles greatest hits, as well as other popular songs from the ‘60s era. The band has been together since 1990, sharing the stage with great acts such as The Beach Boys, America, The Temptations, Chubby Checker and Little Richard. Members of the band are: Joe Baiardi, bass guitar; Scott Bland, keyboards; Kingwood’s own Chuck Essick, rhythm guitar; John Lassen, lead guitar; and Rod Robert, drums.
The Spring Festival will benefit the Humble Area Assistance Ministries, an interfaith organization serving the basic needs of those in financial crisis and providing assistance towards self sufficiency. The non-profit organization will hold a fund-raising raffle drawing and silent auction during the Festival. Raffle tickets will be sold from 3-9 p.m. for $1 each or 6 for $5.
Vendor booths will be open from 3-7 p.m. Participating vendors include: American Heart Association, Wellness 4 You, Scentsy, Mike Lonzetta Cutlery, Teresa’s Lotions, Liberty Mutual, Diagnostic Radiology, All-Star Tint & Screens, old time photos, Nextcare Healthcare, Revente Shop, Shank Wealth Management, KW Collectables, Glam Gifts, Embody Fitness Center, Miche Purses, Jena Scents, Silpada Designs, Incolor Hair Salon, salsa and Mary Kay Cosmetics.
