A listing occurs when a real estate agent and a homeowner enter into a listing contract to sell the homeowner’s home. The listing contract defines the terms of the agreement, including (but not limited to) how long the home will be listed for, at what price the home will be listed at, the amount of the commission, and any exceptions to the commission.
Listing Agent of the Month: Karen Fahrmeier
Karen started in The Real Estate Business in October 1998 after spending six months searching for her second home. Her first year in Real Estate, Karen was nominated “Rookie of the Year” and finished 3rd among the Keller Williams Realty Northeast agents. Since then, Karen has maintained the #1 Sales Agent status, either as an individual agent or a team, as well as being ranked among the top 10 in the Greater Houston Region.
Other recognition’s include Keller Williams Hall of Fame, Who’s Who Among Business Professionals, Five Star Award Winner in Texas Monthly Magazine, plus a few others, but her greatest real estate reward is to witness the joy of happy buyers and sellers.
Karen’s greatest joy in life has been being a mother, with her three children in college now. Juggling family, friends, and work has been challenging, so to relieve tension, Karen feels that exercise is the best medicine. She enjoys playing tennis, walking, biking, dancing, and just about any activity that involves aerobic exercise.
Listing Team of the Month: The Wood Team, Bryan and Judy Wood
Bryan and Judy Wood hit the ground running with Keller Williams Realty NE in the summer of 2011 getting the Rookie of the Year and they haven’t slowed down yet, continuing to drive their business – literally – to reach new goals each year. Definitely the fruit of long hours behind the wheel and behind the laptop!
Bryan still enjoys the perks of living on the lake and fishing when he can. Fortunately he is able to step out the door early mornings with a short walk to the dock and fish with the sunrise. Ask him to see his bald eagle pictures – certainly the highlight of many mornings. And Judy still treasures the occasional trip to visit her daughters – and shopping in the city whenever possible. She did add a porch swing to the boat dock this year to maybe have a place to sit and watch Bryan fish. Or watch eagles.
They still find their greatest real estate joy in playing “match-maker” with clients looking for a place to call home and in helping their sellers be able to move on to realize their dreams of the next spot in the road. Those warm smiles keep them behind the wheel and touring the lake!
