Kelly McGuire To Perform at Keller Williams Concert

With back-to-school time just around the corner, families will be able to enjoy a last taste of summer at the free Keller Williams Summer Send-Off Concert at Kings Harbor on Friday, Aug. 20 from 7-10 p.m.  As a perfect complement to the summer night, Keller Williams Realty Northeast will present Kelly McGuire, who is known for his original songs about islands, boats, beaches and the Gulf Coast that have an obvious Jimmy Buffett influence.

Keller Williams Realty Northeast will present Kelly McGuire

A long-time resident of Clear Lake, McGuire has been described as “an award-winning Texas singer, songwriter that will make you smile, cry, tap your toes, kiss your guitar and call your momma with his great storylines.” His musical style ranges from country to calypso to folk and rock.

McGuire’s third CD, “Boat in Belize,” was awarded Album of the Year at the 2008 Texas Music Awards where he was nominated for Entertainer of the Year. His songs, including “Blame It On Buffett,” are played on Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville station on Sirius Satellite Radio and can be previewed on his Web page: www.redfishisland.com.

“Redfish Island” is the name of another one of McGuire’s CDs inspired by his sailing experiences. His song “Where Did Redfish Go” relates the story of Redfish Island in Galveston Bay that was a favorite hangout for boaters before it was washed away by a hurricane. McGuire’s songs about tropical places are sure to have concert goers dreaming of their next summer vacation.

The concert’s guest charity is FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center in Humble which is the beneficiary of the Keller Williams Viva Las Vegas Gala on Sept. 25.

Kings Harbor is located at 1660 W. Lake Houston Pkwy. in Kingwood between Kingwood Dr. and FM 1960. Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome. For more information, visit www.clickKWne.com or www.kings-harbor.com.
