Keller Williams Presents Fall Festival at Kings Harbor

The weather may feel like fall, but Kingwood will get a last blast of summer when The Coastliners perform a Beach Boys’ tribute at the Fall Festival at Kings Harbor on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The free event presented by the agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast will run from 3-10 p.m., featuring vendor booths, charity fundraisers, on-site restaurants and live musical entertainment. The Coastliners’ band, sponsored by K’s Motorsports and Kings Harbor, will play from 7-10 p.m.

Founded in Baytown in 1964, The Coastliners became known as the “Gulf Coast Beach Boys” because their harmonious sound mimicked that of the California Beach Boys. Two of The Coastliners’ founding members still perform with the band: drummer Ozzie Hart and keyboardist Tommy Meekins. They are joined by guitarists Jeremy Meekins and Chris Blake.

The Coastliners recorded six top-ten hits in the ‘60s. Their songs “She’s My Girl” and “Alright” reached number one in several major U.S. cities. They have shared the stage with musical legends such as Roy Orbison, Sonny and Cher, Neil Diamond, The Righteous Brothers, The Four Tops, The Byrds as well as the Beach Boys themselves.

The Fall Festival will benefit Will’s Kids, which subsidizes extra-curricular activities and programs for children from low-income families. The non-profit organization will hold a fund-raising raffle drawing and silent auction. Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5.

Vendor booths will be available for shopping from 3-7 p.m. Participating vendors include: Silpada Designs, CenturyLink, Scentsy, Stampin’ Up, Shaklee, Grifaldo Construction, Diblel, Vault Denim, Pink Zebra, Centre Stage, Body Wraps, Ross Photography, Ambit Energy, Vitamins & Such, and Carrie Rae Collection.

Kings Harbor is at 1660 W. Lake Houston Pkwy., Kingwood.  Lawn chairs are suggested for the concert. Glass containers are prohibited. For vendor sign up, contact Janet Hayes at 281-594-0548 or jhayes@willskids.org. For Fall Festival information, visit: www.kings-harbor.com or www.clickKWne.com.
