It would not be the 4th of July in Kingwood without a festival and fireworks display in Town Center, and the 2011 celebration will go off with a bang thanks to Woodforest National Bank, the title sponsor. The festival will be held from 2 pm to 9 pm at Town Center Park located on Town Center Circle in Kingwood.

Event-goers can browse through the wares of vendors ranging from handcrafts to kids items or taste the delights from one of the many food booths.  Children can work off their excess energy in the inflatables, while young and old alike can soar to new heights on the bungee trampoline, a return hit from 2010.

Kingwood’s favorite D.J., Mark Linabury (DJ KW / K-Dub), will keep the crowd grooving from 2 pm to 6 pm.  The evening will be ushered in by Andy Rodrigues and the Harmony Groove band who will perform from 6 pm to 9 pm.  The evening will culminate at 9 pm with a fireworks display.

The Woodforest 4th of July Festival is made possible by sponsorships and donations from area businesses and organizations. The 2011 event sponsors are: Woodforest National Bank, RE/MAX Associates Northeast, Kingwood Area Democrats, Café du Bois, MyFitFoods, 1-800-GOT-JUNK, Kings Crossing Community Association, Kingwood Town Center Property Owners Association, and Chachi’s Mexican Restaurant.
Sponsorships and exhibitor booths are still available.  For more information, contact Angela Griffing at (713) 305-2239.
