Prior to earning their real estate license, Karen was the financial secretary for their church and Max was an inspector for a major chemical company, in addition to being a veteran of the US Navy. Karen and Max have four grown children. Crystal is a graduate of University of Texas and the mother of their first two grandsons, Aidan and Oliver. Max Jr. is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Fighting Texas Aggie Band, and gave them their third grandson, Max III. Christina works in early childhood education and brought them their first granddaughter, Savannah. Marjorie graduated as a pastry chef from the Culinary Institute LeNotre and will graduate from the University of Houston in May.
