Keller Williams Announces Concert Line-up: Donny Edwards to Perform Elvis Tribute June 15

The Agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast have announced the entertainment line-up for the remainder of the year for their free concert series at Kings Harbor in Kingwood. The Keller Williams Concert takes place from 7-10 p.m. on the third Friday of each month through November.

“We are really excited about the upcoming bands,” said Roland Duhon, Keller Williams marketing chairman. “We have scheduled some of the favorites from past concerts and added some popular new acts. We appreciate the band sponsors and the Kings Harbor tenants for helping us put on this great event for our community.”
Award-winning Elvis tribute artist Donny Edwards will make his first visit to the Keller Williams concert stage on Friday, June 15, presenting “A True Tribute to Elvis.”

“Our show will concentrate on the older jumpsuit ‘70s Vegas Elvis,” says Edwards, who won his first Elvis competition in 2002. “We really love to showcase the Elvis concert years of 1969-77. We try to do all the most popular and well-loved songs, in addition to the songs that Elvis himself enjoyed performing.”

The June concert will kick off at 7 p.m. with the nine-piece FEVER Band, sponsored by the Edward Jones Investments offices in the Kingwood, Humble and Summerwood areas. FEVER’s Lead guitarist and vocalist Randy “Rockem” Stockem is celebrating thirty years working with Elvis tribute artists. He has also performed alongside Elvis Presley’s own band members, including guitarist D.J. Fontana.

Courtney “Barbie” Guyon will accompany the band on vocals, keyboards and saxophone. At just ten years old, Guyon opened for Jerry Lee Lewis and has performed with the band Chicago. The band will be followed by special guest performer Wayne King as Roy Orbison and they will return to back up Donny Edwards for the final 80-minute set.

The concert’s charity guest, Mothers Against Cancer, will hold a fund-raising raffle with prizes from the Kings Harbor tenants. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

The following three Keller Williams concerts will showcase some repeat performers to the concert series. The Level One Band with their vintage Motown music will return on July 20 along with Kingwood’s Got Talent winner Good Timing as the opening act at 6 p.m. On August 17, Soul Track Mind will bring back their updated blend of soul, blues, r & b, funk and jazz to the Harbor. King of Texas blues piano and Houston musical icon Ezra Charles promises another spellbinding performance on September 21.

Another legendary Houston-based act, The Coastliners will debut at the Keller Williams Concert during the Fall Festival at Kings Harbor on Oct. 6. The Beach Boys tribute band has several hits of their own dating from the ‘60s, including “Alright” and “She’s My Girl.”

Kingwood-native Jason Consolacion will entertain his hometown crowd at the Keller Williams concert on October 19. Big Mouth, one of the hottest dance bands in Texas, will close out the series for the year at the concert on November 16.

Kings Harbor is at 1660 W. Lake Houston Pkwy., Kingwood. Lawn chairs are suggested and glass containers are prohibited at the concerts. For more information about the Keller Williams Concert Series, visit: www.clickKWne.com or www.facebook.com/KWNortheast.
