Harris County Voters Urged to Vote Early

Early voting for the November 2nd election began on Monday. Polling places have been busy. One suspected reason for the record turn out early this week is the publicity surrounding the late-August fire that destroyed voting machines in Harris County.  Election officials have urged the public to vote early to avoid long lines on Election Day.

Kingwood has a new early voting location: the new Kingwood Branch Library. The polls at the library are open on Wednesday and Sunday, even though the library is closed those days of the week.

Below are the locations and hours for early voting which runs through October 29. For information about the candidates and issues on the ballot in your area, visit: WWW.VOTE411.org

The Web site allows you to build your own ballot, print it out and bring it to the polls. That should save you time in the voting booth!
