Texas Blues Bothers Tribute Band at Keller Williams Concert May 18

The Texas Blues Brothers Tribute band will perform at the free Keller Williams Concert at Kings Harbor on Fri., May 18 from 7-10 p.m. Opening the show will be Kingwood’s Got Talent Winner ExitZero from 6 to 7 p.m. The concert is presented by the agents at Keller Williams Realty Northeast and the band is sponsored by Texan GMC.

The Texas Blues Brothers Tribute show recreates one of the greatest rhythm and blues acts of all times. Staring Mike Powell as the harmonica playing Elwood and Steve Boado as his singing sidekick Jake, the Texas Blues Brothers perform their song and dance in the original Belushi/Aykroyd style.

The opening act ExitZero plays pop and rock music. The band’s members are all freshmen at Kingwood High School: Thomas Stivala, Thomas Laird, Trevor Ford and Grant Tillinghast.

The concert’s guest charity is the Lake Houston Family YMCA. A fund-raising raffle will be held from 6-9 p.m. with prizes donated by the Kings Harbor tenants. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The Keller Williams Kidz Korner will provide children’s’ activities during the concert.
