Humble Area Assistance Ministries Honors Local Volunteers with a Week Long Celebration

April 15-21, 2012 is National Volunteer Week

One of the Keller Williams Northeast community partners is Humble Area Assistance Ministries, succinctly known as HAAM.  HAAM is an interfaith organization united with others in the community to serve the basic needs of those in financial crisis and provide assistance towards self-sufficiency.

In 2011, HAAM reported their volunteers provided over 60,000 hours of service to 66,368 people.  This is quite an accomplishment!  As a thank you to all of the hard work and service, the organization will honor the volunteers with a special “Green Eggs and HAAM Breakfast” every morning of their National Volunteer Week, April 15-21, 2012.

“We are so fortunate to live in a community with so many kind people willing to donate time to those in crisis.  HAAM could not do what we do without our volunteers, and we are very grateful for their support,” says Millie Garrison, Executive Director of HAMM.  “We are pleased anytime we can show them their work is very much appreciated.”
