Tomorrow’s concert guest charity is the Blue Star Mothers Houston chapter, which supports families of those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. At the concert, the non-profit organization will be collecting beef jerky and individual powder drink mixes, including instant coffee, for care packages for the troops.
Here’s how you can help the troops at the concert:
1. Visit the charity booth to buy raffle tickets: $1 each or 6 for $5
2. Bring to the concert beef jerky and individual powder drink mixes (all types including Starbucks or even instant coffee)
3. Play video games at the GameKraze trailer at the Keller Williams Kidz Korner: 2 rounds $3, 4 rounds $5, Unlimited play $20.
All proceeds benefit Blue Star Mothers.
Two of their favorite activities are packing parties and welcoming home our heroes. Over the past 10 months, Blue Star Mothers have mailed over 1,100 packages to our brave men and women around the world. As often as possible, they participate in the homecomings of local heroes along with the Patriot Guard Riders. It is an opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation of their service to preserve the freedom of this great nation.
